Providing a loving, warm and educational environment
for your children.
At University Daycare we believe that every single child is special and deserves the very best. Children are individuals who have their own specific needs. We work to ensure we tailor the care we provide to suit each child.
We know all parents want the very best of everything for their children, especially child care. We strive to be a center that meets all of a doting parent’s needs for their children as well.
Our goal is to provide excellent care to all of our children by working with parents, providing a loving home-like environment combined with a healthy diet.

Programs
INFANT
Infants begin to develop trust and begin to socialize through smiling. As they begin to communicate their needs, children develop self-confidence, they begin to understand that words have meaning and people will respond to their sounds. Physical movement consists of sitting, crawling and learning to transfer things from one hand to another. At UDC, your child will be given personal contact such as being held, sung to, rocked, talked to and played with. Each infant will be allowed to continue his/her own pattern of sleeping, walking and eating. Infant teachers will send home a daily report each day with details of daily activities and a monthly newsletter to include curriculum.
PRESCHOOL
With our preschool age children, we go beyond academics to promote social and emotional development, creativity, and positive approaches to learning while encouraging a preschooler's playfulness. There is a balanced curriculum of work and play, quiet and active times, and group and individual experiences. Your child will participate in a variety of activities. He/she will work with paint, clay, puzzles, blocks and other manipulative materials. He/she will learn to share, take turns planning, problem solving, and communicating with others. They will develop and expand motor skills through inside and outside play as well as explore the use of their five senses. Field trips will be taken to points of interest in the community. They will learn to practice good health and sanitary habits. They will work with the High Reach Curriculum.
TODDLER
At 12 months, children explore their environment more and are increasingly purposeful to find the meaning in events, objects and words as they attempt to discover how the world around them works. Time will be spent outdoors daily when weather permits. Toddler, like infants, will be allowed to continue their own pattern of sleeping and eating. Toddlers begin a learning schedule through developmentally appropriate activities. Art activities build fine and gross motor skills, reading builds vocabulary, and music builds mobility, vocabulary and socialization. Toddler teachers will send a report home each day with details of your toddler's activities, napping, eating and behavior. Toddler teachers will also send home a monthly newsletter and curriculum calendar.
SCHOOL age
Our school age children have an exciting time at UDC, especially during the summer months. They have a summer full of field trips and fun activities which they enjoy and learn from. An activity fee is associated with their summer program and is based on the activities that are scheduled. The fee pays for their summer activities except for certain identified field trips. During the school year, our school age children have a set schedule that provides a snack, active play inside or outside and quiet time for homework and relaxing.
